Certificate
Overview
This page allows you to configure a certificate and the corresponding secret key for this print server.
This print server supports two certification methods. A self-signed certificate and a certificate that is issued by a CA (Certificate Authority).
Use self-signed certificate
This print server issues its own certificate.
It is easier to use this type of certificate with functions rather than using a certificate from a CA.
Use a certificate from a CA.
There are two ways to create a certificate from a CA. Method 1: using a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) from this print server. Method 2: The CA to create a certificate and a secret key.
Please use this if you already have a CA or would like to use a certificate from an outside trusted CA.
NOTE:
Some functions are disabled depending on the status of the certificate configuration.
The functions are grayed and unlinked.

Create Self-Signed Certificate
This print server creates a self-signed certificate and installs it by itself.
It is easier to use this type of certificate with functions rather then using a certificate from a CA.
There are now two choices to select with the Public Key Algorithim and Digest Algorithim.
The higher security settings are selected by the default (Public Key Algorithm: RSA2048bit and Digest Algorithm:SHA256).
When you connect to a device which does not support the higher security, please lower the security settings .
Create CSR
This print server creates a CSR to be issued with a certificate from a CA.
After the CA issues a certificate, install the certificate in the page "Install Certificate."
You can select a Public Key Algorithm and Digest Algorithm security levels, to create a Self-Signed Certificate.
Install Certificate
This print server installs a certificate from the CA.
Only a certificate issued with this print server CSR can be installed.
To use SSL/TLS communication with this print server, the certificate from the CA needs to be installed at the computer communicating with the print server.
NOTE:
This function is enabled after creating a CSR.
Import Certificate and Private Key
This print server imports the certificate and Private key.
